The team have been out on the road in force again this month as we continue to contribute to industry debate, as well as share the secrets of putting on a great event.
We were present at three PA Hub Spring Showcases in Leeds, York and Manchester where our team enjoyed some valuable networking with current and potential clients. And they were also present at this year’s BNC Show in London which took place at Central Hall Westminster – they’re already looking forward to the next event at Mansion House in London in October.
Cvent and Venue Directory hosted a webinar on ‘Mastering venue sourcing: Adapting to market trends, technology and budget’ and Sharon Bannister our Head of Sales & Account Management, Meetings and Events was part of the panel. They discussed the Cvent Planner Sourcing Report, explored key trends, technology and budget shifts in venue sourcing for 2025.
And following the success of her packed-out studio sessions at the Meetings Industry Association (mia) Pavilion during International Confex, mia spoke to Sharon to get the inside track on statistics from last year and themes that are beginning to emerge from the first quarter of the year.

Sharon was also present at CHS in Leeds too! Held in the Royal Armouries, the one-day exhibition was for organisers of business events, from small meetings to large conferences and everything in-between. With a whole range of discussions, Sharon was involved in the ‘Understanding Martyn’s Law: Practical Implementation Advice’ panel session.
Sam Baldwin, our Project Executive, took part in his first panel session at micebook’s Northern Edition at The Treehouse in Manchester. The session on how the next generation is reshaping the workplace explored shifting expectations, work-life balance, career pathways and leadership styles.
He said:
“I really enjoyed my first experience talking on a panel. Being a young person in our industry it was really relevant to speak on this topic and express the views of my colleagues. I’m looking forward to getting involved again soon!”
One of the team headed to C&IT’s International Forum in Budapest and Bratislava while another headed to Lisbon for a site visit for a client.
There have been a number of different events we have planned too, where we have been on-site, including the University of Southampton’s awards event in London, as well as organising a successful conference in Manchester for nearly 400 delegates for our long-standing client.
With lots more in our calendar, we can’t wait to tell you what we’ve been up to next month!
