Dublin

It’s no wonder Dublin is a great destination for events.

With some world-renowned venues including the Aviva Stadium, Croke Park and Convention Centre Dublin, the Emerald Isle keeps on going from strength to strength.
Some of the team have just got back from there having assisted at a successful event for one of our pharma clients.

Backed up with some high-end hotels with great conference and event facilities, the city is particularly popular for team building meet-ups.

It’s also built a reputation for being a hub for tech with Facebook, Google and Microsoft all having HQs there.

Dublin Airport offers direct flights all over the world, including North America, the Middle East and the rest of Europe, it is only half an hour to the city centre too.

And your event needn’t cost a fortune with great value accommodation available in a place where history and culture is complemented by lots of things to do, as well as a busy nightlife.

It won’t take you too long to get to where you want to go as the city centre is pretty compact but if you do need to head further afield there are great transport links.

So whether you’re taking your team away for some golf, whisky tasting or something a little more cultured, or you’ve some important business updates to share during a conference, Dublin should be near the top of your possibles list.

Mykonos

Many destinations can cater for great events all year round but some are seasonal thanks to their weather.

Mykonos falls into that category but don’t let it put you off adding it to your list of potential M&E destinations as the Greek island is a favourite for incentive trips, brand launches and team get aways.

May through to September is generally considered to be its season, with June to August being peak season where prices are at their highest.

If you’re after a conference for more than 500 people then Mykonos is not the destination for you.

However, if you want a more intimate event then it could be your answer.

Sunshine and stunning beaches nestled between charming villages make it a hotspot for those wanting impressive villas and luxury, boutique hotels.

You’ll find most of the resorts and hotels have great event spaces but you might prefer to carry out your business in a private villa, beach club or out at sea on one of the many luxury yachts available for charter.

Despite its size, cosmopolitan Mykonos does have good connections with many European cities, while it is also accessible by ferry from Athens and other islands.
One of our team has just been there on an industry professionals fam trip and loved it… you might too!

Our team member’s three words to describe Mykonos: Luxurious, picturesque and expensive
